Initiated in 2008 by a group of volunteers, the Richland Farmers’ Market has quickly become a favorite gathering location for local residents. Shoppers can expect to find a variety of foods grown by local farmers or made in local certified kitchens as well as crafts made by local artisans. All vendors must be from Michigan and must also grow or make at least 90% of their own products. The market is held in an open mowed field, and live music entertains customers and vendors. Goals of the Market
1) To be a profitable outlet for local farmers and craft vendors
2) To create a gathering spot and opportunity for social interactions for Richland area residents
3) To provide a predictable, ample selection and variety of high quality fresh, locally-grown produce and crafts for customers
